Washed up

In September of 2017 Hurricane Irma found it’s way to the South Carolina coastline.  Beachcombers had an unlikely find after the storm.  A 13,000 pound coastguard buoy traveled 8 miles inland.  Locals and visitors had a fun time taking selfies while officials had the headache of figuring out how to return the buoy back to it’s post.

About Alice DeForest

Sending a smile to brighten your day. Since retiring from a successful real estate career, I am out and about exploring. I live on the SE Coast of the United States, and love the marshes, swamps and beaches of Georgia and South Carolina. Historical sites are also some of my favorite places, and I love sharing them with all of you. I'll do my best not to keep things interesting and bring you along on all my travels.
