Fishing holes

Due to the mild winter temperatures the boating season is definitely in full swing this spring. We are so fortunate to be surrounded by the beautiful Ogeechee and Savannah Rivers. My favorite catch is Red Brest and Abercorn creek is my secret spot, with my secret bait “crickets”.

If you are new to the area there are courtesy landings at Abercorn Creek, Ebenezer Creek and Tuckasee King.

Catfish is another local favorite, cut bait works well and they don’t like bright sunlight, so go early in the morning, at night or when it is overcast.     Have a “reely” great time 🐟

About Alice DeForest

With over 30 years experience in various phases of the real estate industry, I would like to have the opportunity to share some of the knowledge, opinions, and fun things with you. I have also had the opportunity to live in all four corners of the US . I am now a settled empty nester, working less hours which allows me the time to write this blog and travel. My hobby is exploring Coastal Georgia and South Carolina. The historic sites are fantastic but my favorite outings are in the swamps viewing the wildlife and nature.
