Clyo Georgia is located 8 miles north of Springfield Georgia on Ga. Hwy 119. There are two Georgia Historical markers in this small town. Clyo is a farming community, it has a post office , several churches and access to the Savannah River. It’s a treat if you like history.

Take a break from the I95 here’s a great get away with a chance to check out some late 1800 history. Parking is easy and the beautiful street scape with the lamp posts and sidewalks easily move you about. There are museums, thrift stores, restaurants and some old time buildings and homes throughout the city.
The surprise Springfield holds is the spirit of the folks that live and work there. All the modern conveniences are just minutes away from the center of the city but far enough to keep the relaxing quail atmosphere when you are visiting.
