On May 28, 2018 our nation will come together in various ways to observe Memorial Day. Traditionally, graves of those who died during their time in service are decorated with flowers, wreaths and flags.
Effingham County Veterans Park will hold their annual ceremony at 6PM on May 28th.

In September of 2017 Hurricane Irma found it’s way to the South Carolina coastline. Beachcombers had an unlikely find after the storm. A 13,000 pound coastguard buoy traveled 8 miles inland. Locals and visitors had a fun time taking selfies while officials had the headache of figuring out how to return the buoy back to it’s post.
